So I read the other day that they are breaking up ‘Breaking Dawn’ into two movies. I even saw an interview with Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart saying this is true.
Is this a good idea?
At what point in the book should they split the movie up?

I think if they are going to split it up they should either do three or one for the three parts bella jacob bella or just on becuase i don’t know how they would split it into two but i already knew they might from last year so hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I am glad they are breaking it up. The book is so long. They should split it just before Bella sees Irina. Or if they want a cliff hanger they can do it when just after Alice runs. The first part is all about the last of her human life and the second is about her growing up fast and becoming a mom.
i think where bella is dead and edward is trying to get a heart beat and were jacob is about to launch at renesmee
i had a feeling they would split it up there is way too much detail to put into one movie so now they have more time to get it right!!! i think they should split it up and the end of jacobs part where he is walking down the stairs and is about to see renesmee!!!

i dont think they should at all. but, the best place would be when they switch views in the book. ( from bella to jacob)?
they should end the first one at the part in which jacob sees renesme and falls for her
so the second part would tell the whole renesme story and the first part would be dedicated to the whole wedding – jacob and honeymoon stuff
i’m not sure how yhu could break it into 2 parts maybe half way through jacobs story but i’m not sure so i guess i will have to wait and see wht happens but come on EVERYONE new it was goin to b split like donkeys ago

i agree i think that the best place to split it would have to be just as jacob is getting ready to launch at renesmee it would be a great cliff hanger for those that dont read the books…but will suck for the rest of us because i know that i personally would sit in a theater for 4 hours to watch the whole breaking dawn one part movie (heck, im going to be in the theater tuesday for 8 hours)

I think they should split it up because there is just so much detail in that one book and leaving specific parts out would be ridiculous. But i would do three movies instead of just two but that is just me.

i think they should follow the story line and leave off at the imprinting magicall scene where jacob imprints on renesmee
also start the 2nd book where bella is in ther thoughts laying our 2 days as a newborn and the truce with the wolves and the confrontation with the volturi
I like the movie being split in 2 because it will include more details of the book. It should be split where Bella dies on the table giving birth so the suspense is killer! So the first part of the movie will be the wedding and pregnancy then the second is Bella as a vampire and getting to know her child while preparin for a possible battle wit the Volturi and learning her new ability.

i’m french and just going out of the Twilight french convention. We asked that question to Melissa Rosenberg who answerd us that “Breaking Dawn” will be split somewhere in Bella’s transition from Human to Vampire but she didn’t know exactly when yet.

Ok, look at it this way…
2 hour long movie, the final scene with all the vampires would be about an hour long.
That gives you 1 hour to break up the wedding, the honey moon, the pregnancy… I’m glad their breaking it up into 2 parts, it would alott more time for everything that’s going on in the final book. Besides, Twilight is pulling in the dough, why wouldn’t they want to make more? (Also, they should break when Bella calls Rosalie for help.)

i think they should break it up when edward is trying to save bella. it will be a total cliff hanger those who read the books will know what happened.i’ve read the books like abillion times. but just clear things up TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!

Right when Bella is dying because Renesme is killing her and Jacob says “What is that” and Edward responds “My venom” then the first movie should end RIGHT there as a clifff hanger!!!!!!

i think they should make it in 1 movie..but then again 2 because the book is sooooo long and awesome..i hope they put the good parts in the first one though

I think its stupid that there breaking it up into 2 movies. It will frustrate me and every other fan. We have to wait till fricken 2012 to find out what happens at the end. Which we may not even be akive by then. So why not just make it one long movie with an intermission. It would be better than waiting 2 fricken years to find out what happens that for sure!!
BTW- my sources tell me that they start filming in November and start rehearsals in October.
I think it will be great so extends over the saga
